There is currently no direct ferry from Singapore to Nirup Island—but worry not. A direct route is already in the works and is expected to operate soon. Stay tuned for updates!
In the meantime, getting to Nirup Island remains smooth and simple. Just take a ferry from HarbourFront Centre (Singapore) to Harbour Bay Ferry Terminal (Batam). Once you arrive and clear immigration in Batam, continue your journey with a connecting ferry to Nirup Island.
The journey takes approximately 30–40 minutes from Harbour Bay Batam to Nirup Island, depending on sea conditions.
Absolutely. Nirup Island is a family-friendly destination. The transfer via Batam is smooth and safe for guests of all ages.
All transactions on the island are in Indonesian Rupiah (IDR), and all major credit cards are accepted. Please note that we currently do not offer currency exchange services on the island, so we recommend preparing local currency in advance.
Nirup Island follows Western Indonesian Time (WIB) — GMT +7.
If you’re traveling from Singapore or abroad, you’ll clear immigration upon arrival in Batam. Nirup Island is a domestic destination, so no additional passport check is required afterward.
For most ASEAN countries, including Singapore, no visa is required for short-term leisure visits to Indonesia. However, requirements may vary by nationality, so we recommend checking with the Indonesian immigration portal or your nearest Indonesian embassy or consulate for the most up-to-date information.

You can purchase tickets at the Horizon Fast Ferry counter, conveniently located inside Bayfront Mall at Harbour Bay Ferry Terminal, Batam. For added ease, you may also reserve in advance via WhatsApp (please contact: wa.me/6281217181958).
No. All ferries to Nirup Island depart from domestic terminals in Batam. After clearing immigration at Harbour Bay Terminal, head to the domestic ferry gate for your journey to Nirup.
If you arrive after the last ferry departure (1:00 PM Batam time), we recommend spending the night in Batam. There are many hotel options near Harbour Bay for a restful stopover before continuing your journey the next day.
While we do not offer a private transfer service at this time, taxis and ride-hailing services like Grab are readily available at Hang Nadim International Airport. The drive to Harbour Bay Ferry Terminal takes about 20–30 minutes.
Relax at Bayfront Mall, which is located next to the ferry terminal. You’ll find restaurants, cafes, local souvenir shops to help you unwind before your trip to the island.
